SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE AND PLANTS
One of the greatest gifts of spiritual knowledge is how it realigns our sense of self, often revealing aspects we never imagined were within us. Spirituality provides a lens to view life and a gauge by which we evaluate it. Empirical studies even highlight spirituality as a potential health resource. While many use plants including Cannabis for their medicinal and mind-altering properties, it can also help deepen our inner perspective when integrated into spiritual practices.
Spirituality is our relationship with the divine—whether you call it the Creator, God, the Universe, or something else. It’s profound understanding, a birthright, and sometimes an intuitive knowing: a gut feeling, a power pose, a sign.
Through my journey with plants and spirituality, I’ve learned many lessons—some still unfolding because life is cyclical, and some lessons require revisiting to fully grasp. Here are several of the most powerful, challenging, and rewarding lessons I’ve encountered:
The Power of Gratitude
One of the simplest yet most transformative ways to elevate your spiritual practice is through gratitude. When consumed with intention, plants helps you move beyond illusions of lack, uncovering the truth that everything—achievements, blessings, heartbreaks, losses—has contributed to your growth.
Gratitude is an affirmation, a way of calling in abundance by acknowledging that you are a culmination of your experiences. It’s not just about appreciating the “good” moments but also honoUring the lessons that challenges bring. Gratitude affirms your commitment to growth and allows you to honoUr where you are on your journey.
The Power of Non-Attachment
Non-attachment is one of the hardest lessons to learn. We often cling to people, things, and outcomes, letting them control our peace. Practicing non-attachment—even in small ways, like living fully in the present moment—frees us.
Plants can help us appreciate the here and now, reminding us that transformation happens with every breath. Mastering non-attachment means freeing yourself from being defined by possessions, relationships, others’ perceptions, or your own ego. It is the art of truly living and belonging to yourself.
The Power of Interconnectedness
Cannabis has profoundly deepened my understanding of the connection between all living things. Our bodies share the same cannabinoid receptors as the plant we consume. This endocannabinoid system works constantly to achieve balance (homeostasis), maintaining stability despite external changes.
This connection to the plant mirrors our connection to the greater web of life. Within this interdependence lies divine intelligence—accessible to all who choose to tap in.
The Power of Pure Thought
Sitting in stillness and allowing pure thought to flow through you is transformative. It’s not forceful or controlling but expansive and inspiring. For many, it manifests as bursts of creativity, where you become the conduit for something greater.
This state—free from judgment, want, or need—is nirvana.
The Power of Pure Intention
Emotions, while powerful, can cloud our judgment and skew our perspective. Pure intention requires looking beyond the emotional surface to uncover the roots of your thoughts and motivations.
Meditation, journaling, or deep contemplation can help trace your thoughts to their source. Plants nurture this process, supporting clarity and emotional awareness. When your intentions stem from love rather than fear, you align yourself with your highest potential.
The Power of Plants
There’s an ancient idea that all living things are aware, possessing a consciousness of their surroundings. This includes plants, which communicate with us through our interactions with them.
Nature, including plants, represents the totality of existence. We are an integral part of this ecosystem, and the more we nurture, respect, and collaborate with it, the stronger and more self aware we become.
Our ancestors understood this connection deeply. They knew that nothing so fundamental to who we are could ever be truly lost.
And so, the journey of uncovering and reclaiming begins.
